Hello

There are some mistakes in the gloss-hindi.ldf for example

à€žà€‚à€Šà€°à¥à€ à€—à¥à€°à€‚à€¥ has been coded as à€žà€‚à€Šà€° à€—à¥à€°à€‚à€¥ and à€ªà¥ƒà€·à¥à€  has been coded as à€ªà¥ƒà€·à€ .

I am writing a book on LaTeX in hindi using XeLaTeX. So I am getting the
à€žà€‚à€Šà€° à€—à¥à€°à€‚à€¥ instead of à€žà€‚à€Šà€°à¥à€ à€—à¥à€°à€‚à€¥. I corrected them in gloss-hindi.ldf
still I am getting the error.

Please inform where/which file I have to correct so that I can get the
correct à€žà€‚à€Šà€°à¥à€ à€—à¥à€°à€‚à€¥ in my book!

Till date what I wrote I kept it on Scribd - if any body wants to see the
book.

Thank you!

Hello,

thank you for the report, these are most probably my misprints when copying
the words from babel to polyglossia.
gloss-hindi.ldf is the write place, if it does not help, then you have the
file in a wrong directory and the unchanged
file is used. Anyway, I will report it upstream.

Hi,

\gappto\captionshindi{\renewcommand{\bibname}{à€žà€‚à€Šà€°à¥à€ à€—à¥à€°à€‚à€¥}}
should work.
It is strange that latex does not consider the changes in ldf.
FYI, you may have a look at https://ctan.org/pkg/latex-mr

With best regards,
-Rohit.
